St George's News
Find out what's happening at St George's!
On Thursday 14th November St George's conducted its Secondary Information Evening for existing and prospective Year 6 families who visited the school. Teachers, assisted by existing students ranging from Year 10 up to Year 13, helped to demonstrate skills, conduct activities and provide tours for Year 6 around the school.
Mr Fleet, Head teacher, Ms Simmonds, Assistant Head teacher and Mr Shaw Director of Sixth Form all spoke to parents in the auditorium about life in Key Stage 3, 4 & 5. Meanwhile, Year 6 students entered our Treasure Hunt Task Competition as they explored the secondary school supported by older students. Winners will be announced shortly!
Feedback from families included:
“Thank you for tonight, the talk was very informative and it was lovely to see so many older students helping.”
“Thank you for making my child feel extremely welcome. Tonight has been a very positive and enjoyable experience!”
We are now looking forward to our Secondary Open Morning which is on Thursday 26 March, and provides an opportunity for prospective parents to see the school in action.
Thank you to all those that attended.
